During this current lockdown the Government has recognised the importance of voluntary services, particularly those which support vulnerable groups. This has enabled us to continue to provide a lifeline to those families living with dementia in our neighbourhood.
Poppy Café therefore remains open every Tuesday morning and Poppy PM on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, in the Meeting Room, St. Andrew’s Church: ‘based on the government’s further advice about community centres which indicates that they can continue to operate as long as they are Covid-secure and that within the café, attendees keep in groups of not more than 6 socially distanced individuals’.
Claire, Chair of Holt & District Dementia Support, has advised all those who use our services or volunteer, about the decision agreed by the Trustees.
When the present lockdown ends on 2nd December, the county of Norfolk will be placed under Tier 2 restrictions until 16th December, when the situation in all areas of the country will be reviewed.
