Poppy Exercise
Julie has been leading some gentle physical movement sessions since last September, during Monday’s Poppy Café, all of which have been well received by clients and carers, as well as volunteers. The aim of the exercises is to help improve muscle strength, balance, joint movements and cognition, whilst at the same time providing fun and enjoyment for all those wishing to take part.
We are pleased to offer the new ‘Poppy Exercise’ service to those who are living with dementia.
During the summer months there will be some ‘taster sessions’ on Friday 7th July and Friday 11th August, which we warmly invite you to join. Clients, carers and volunteers are all invited. Thereafter, the aim is to run Poppy Exercise on a regular basis. Refreshments, as for Poppy Café, will be provided.
You can see some of the new activities being tried out by a group of volunteers, in the July-August Newsletter 2023
Do come along and join us in the Church Hall (next to the Library in Church Street). There is some roadside parking, limited to one hour, and Gresham’s Pay & Display Car Park is further down the street.
