Like you, we ‘care’ for those living with dementia…

Dates for your diary

Poppy Café

Our Chair, Claire Roberts writes:

“In light of the national guidance on self-isolation, the Poppy Café, Poppy PM and Home Visiting service will sadly be suspended for at least 12 weeks and will only commence once the Chief Medical Officer indicates it is safe to do so. We have contacted all our clients and carers to inform them of the suspension of our services. The next showing at the Poppy cinema will also be cancelled.

In the interim we are intending to maintain contact with all our clients and carers through regular telephone calls and where possible, additional support services such as delivering shopping or medical supplies.

It is with a heavy heart that I am making this announcement as I am very aware how important our services are to those living with dementia and their families. I hope that we will be able to re-commence our services at the earliest opportunity but in the meantime, I pray that everyone will remain safe and well and I shall look forward to updating this message with more positive news over the coming weeks.”
